Videocon’s new budget phone Metal Pro 2 4G launched

Videocon Mobile unveiled a new 4G VoLTE smartphone in India called the Videocon Metal Pro 2, which is a budget phone under the range of Rs. 7,000. The phone will go on sale across multi-brand retail stores in the country by the end of the month.

An introductory price of Rs. 6,999 for its Grey and Gold variants has been announced along with a 100-day replacement policy. The highlight of the smartphone is its 13-megapixel rear camera.

Metal Pro 2 is a slim and stunning device, which has been designed keeping in mind the requirements of the users who always look for classy, yet technically advanced smartphones,” Akshay Dhoot, CEO, Videocon Mobiles.


The dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) Videocon Metal Pro 2 runs Android 7.0 Nougat, sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, and is powered by 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM. The phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 3.2-megapixel front camera.

 The phone comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card up to 128GB in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, and Micro-USB port. Sensors on board the Videocon Metal Pro 2 include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. It is powered by a 2000mAh removable battery, and measures 145.2×72.6×8.4mm.
While talking about the phone’s display, the company says it comes comes with a technology called “MiraVision” which works on an advance algorithm model and enhances visual quality of display by altering various picture attributes.
“Metal Pro 2” also features “SOS-Be-Safe” and panic button in compliance with the Indian government’s mandate. Both the features can help you in case of a distress situation, alerting your close ones and authorities.
A one-year subscription of “Eros Now” and the complete paid versions of games from “Game Loft” is beng given away as part of the launch.
