Lenovo will launch its new flagship P2 smartphone in India exclusively via Flipkart on Wednesday, January 11. The price of the phone is yet to be unveiled.
Earlier this month, the smartphone’s launch in India was teased on Twitter. The smartphone was first unveiled earlier last year at IFA 2016 and has so far been launched in several other regions, including China.
In China, the phone’s 4GB LPDDR4 RAM variant with 64GB of inbuilt storage has been made available so far, while other regions around the world have both the 3GB and 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage.
According to reports, both variants of the phone will be made available in India.
Lenovo P2 comes with 3GB or 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM options. The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, and has a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display. The phone is powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 processor. The smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX258 sensor and a 5-megapixel camera at front for taking selfies.
The phone has a unibody metal design and comes with either 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). In terms of connectivity options, the Lenovo P2 offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, and FM radio. Color variants include Champagne Gold and Graphite Grey.
The price of the phone is yet to be revealed, but the previous in the P series of Lenovo was priced Rs 15,999 when it launched.
