From August 24, you can start booking your JioPhone both online and offline, while pre-orders in select stores in Delhi-NCR region have already begun.

JioPhone booking: You need to submit a copy of your Aadhaar card with the authorised Jio retailer to get the handset. You can get only one phone through one Aadhaar card. Your details will be uploaded into centralised software that will assign you a token number, which will be required when you pickup the phone.
JioPhone price: The handset is free of cost but while getting it you need to pay a security deposit of Rs. 1,500, which is refundable. You will not have to pay anything when you submit your Aadhaar number, the payment will have to be made only when you pick up the handset. The refund cannot be claimed before 36 months of using the handset.
Delivery: If you order right after the bookings open then delivery will be between September 1 and September 4. As the number of bookings increase, delivery may be further delayed. Reliance aims to deliver 5 million units a week to consumers.
The online bookings for the handset begin on August 24 via the MyJio app.
JioPhone users are eligible for Dhan Dhana Dhan monthly pack for Rs. 153, which gives free voice, texts, 4G data with 500MB daily cap and access to MyJio apps for 28 days. JioPhone users can also get Jio Phone TV-Cable to stream phone’s content on any television. For that, users will need a Rs. 309 recharge pack, which includes all the benefits of Dhan Dhana Dhan and screen mirroring of movies, TV shows and more from MyJio apps from JioPhone to TV screens.
The Jio 4G feature phone will have a 2.4-inch display, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, microSD card support, 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC. With 4G VoLTE support, buyers will be able to access digital content with the help of the free subscription to Jio apps.
